Another mountain lion sighting reported in San Luis Obispo

Posted

Another mountain lion sighting has been reported in San Luis Obispo.

Fish and Wildlife officials say they received the report and photographs this week of the sighting along Woodbridge Street.

The person who made the report tells KSBY he was delivering mail in that area Tuesday when he saw the large cat and took some pictures of it in nearby brush.

Wildlife officials say it is unusual for a cougar to be out during the day, but aside from that, no other strange behavior was noted with the animal.

It was not immediately known if this was believed to be the same mountain lion seen recently near the Creekside mobile home community on S. Higuera Street in San Luis Obispo.

Wildlife officials say it is normal for mountain lions to cover 10 miles in a day, looking for food and water.
