Residents urged to attend homelessness discussion in San Luis Obispo

Posted

A joint-community discussion about homelessness in San Luis Obispo will be held Wednesday night.

The city of San Luis Obispo in concordance with the San Luis Obispo Police Department will host the discussion at the San Luis Obispo Library.

Officials estimate there are more than 400 homeless individuals in the city.

The discussion will touch on initiatives the city and SLOPD are already taking to address the homeless and open the dialogue for community input and ways they can help.

Residents are encouraged to submit questions to the panel ahead of the discussion here. There is also a forum on Facebook residents can RSVP through.

The meeting will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the library, which is located at 995 Palm St., San Luis Obispo.
