Stolen bikes and electronics were among items found during a probation search at a Santa Barbara home this week, according to Santa Barbara police.

Detectives with the property crime and street crimes reportedly arrested Jose Enrique Reyes on Wednesday near the 500 block of E. Ortega Street on an outstanding warrant. They say he was also a suspect in two active theft investigations.

Authorities say along with the 21 bikes and electronics all suspected to have been stolen, they also found burglary tools, narcotics and other drug paraphernalia at Reyes’ home.

Police say they’ve identified six victims connected to the stolen items but are working to find the rest of the rightful owners.

The value of the stolen bikes is estimated at approximately $23,000, police say.

They encourage people to lock up their bikes with reliable locks and make a note of the make, model and serial number of their bike along with registering them in a worldwide bike database.
