Another restaurant has closed in San Luis Obispo’s University Square.
Eric Stohl, franchisee of Carl’s Jr., said after the three years lease expired, negotiations for a new lease failed.
"The last thing we wanted to do was close," Stohl said. He did not disclose the cost of the lease.
The closure of Carl’s Jr. follows a number of area restaurants shutting its doors.
Stohl said he has not spoken with other tenants and their reason to close.
"Markets get tight, we all feel it," he said.
University Square was remodeled several years ago
