A controlled burn was scheduled to take place at Camp Roberts Friday.
Officials say the burn of about 100 acres was scheduled for Range 14 and was being done in preparation of a military exercise on base next month.
The controlled burn comes after two separate vegetation fires broke out at Camp Roberts earlier this month.
