A new medical marijuana dispensary in Santa Barbara is now open for business.
The Canopy Health & Wellness Center opened at 118 N. Milpas Street on Monday.
The owners say they’ve been working on getting it open for four years.
People need to be 21 or older and have a marijuana card.
"The registration process, it’s very fast to register but Santa Barbara ordinance has a 24-hour waiting period," explained Ryan Howl, Canopy founder.
The City of Santa Barbara has allowed for three medical marijuana storefronts but has not approved recreational marijuana shops.
