A suspect has been arrested in connection with a stabbing on Friday in Goleta.

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office said that Donald Lowe, 57, was identified as a suspect in the stabbing. He was later found in Santa Barbara and was taken into custody.

On Friday, deputies said a 29-year-old man had severe stab wounds on his stomach. The victim is still recovering in the hospital. Deputies have not yet released the victim’s name.

Sheriff’s deputies said that Lowe and the stabbing victim were acquaintances living in the same homeless encampment at Highway 101 and Patterson Ave. in Goleta.

Lowe is at the Santa Barbara County Jail facing assault charges. He is being held on $350,000 bail. Three people living with Lowe were also arrested for unrelated parole violations and outstanding warrants.
