An hours-long standoff involving SWAT and an armed man in Oceano was still underway as of 7 a.m. Saturday, officials confirmed to KSBY News.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office says the incident began when a call came in at about 3:23 a.m. of someone vandalizing property inside a home on the 1300 block of Norswing Drive.
The person reportedly left before deputies arrived, but then returned and "presented a firearm and made threatening remarks," according to sheriff’s officials.
A perimeter was established and SWAT called out.
It was not immediately known if any evacuations had been issued, but a command center was set up nearby.
This is a developing story and will be updated as information becomes available.
