Crew were busy overnight in downtown San Luis Obispo as they hoisted a pool on top of a new hotel.
All lanes of Marsh St. between Garden and Broad were closed while a huge crane lifted the pool up four stories to the top of Hotel Serra.
Officials say when the pool is filled with water it will weigh 215,000 pounds, which apparently is equivalent to 40 Ford F-150’s being on the roof deck.

It will be the first rooftop pool in San Luis Obispo. The pool deck at Hotel Serra will include a bar and cabanas.
Hotel Serra is expected to open early next year.
