The city of San Luis Obispo will host an educational seminar on crime prevention and awareness Wednesday morning, following recent burglaries in the area.
The free seminar will cover theft prevention, anti-fraud tactics and employee safety.
"The recent burglaries of the Apple Store demonstrate that not even high-end retail chains are safe from theft," organizers said. "Vigilance, information and preparedness are necessary to keep our community safe."
The information will also be tailored to the business.
"This free seminar is a valuable learning opportunity for local business owners to strategize safety using environmental design and crime prevention techniques that best fit their business," said Christine Wallace, the neighborhood outreach manager.
It will be at the SLO HotHouse Wednesday, July 18, from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Register at this link.
