Santa Maria police joined Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s officials in a search for a wanted man Tuesday afternoon.
Officers fanned out around the Westgate apartment complex at the corner of Sonya Lane and S. Blosser Road.
They were reportedly looking for a man with three warrants out for his arrest. He was described as wearing blue jeans and a white and blue striped shirt.
The sheriff’s office helicopter and SMPD’s K-9 unit were involved in the search.
The search was called off at around 3 p.m.
No additional information has been released as sheriff’s officials say the investigation is continuing.
