Enjoy the next few days, heat wave returns next week

Central Coast saw a few rain drops today from the muggy monsoonal flow across the region.  That opportunity still exists for the next few days before the situation changes and a heat spike develops.

Inland temps in the low to mid-90s for the next few days but there will be some mugginess to the air.  Early next week 100-110 is possible.

Along the coastline, 5-15mph northwesterly winds will continue through Saturday. The marine layer will be a bit stubborn at the coast through Saturday. High monsoonal clouds may help break that up from time to time.

The shape of the ridge across The West becomes more favorable to warming next week.  Not only will inland highs spike but even the coastal valleys will warm into the 90s.  Tuesday and Wednesday look to be the warmest days.  Advisories are already in place for that part of the forecast.
