The 39 annual San Luis Obispo Triathlon is Sunday, July 22 at Sinsheimer Park.
The trail has a half mile pool swim, 15-mile bike ride and a 3.1-mile run.
Registration for the event is over. All participants that signed up have to bring a photo identification on the day of the race.
SLO Transit will have modified bus routes from 8:15 a.m. to 5 p.m. for people participating in the event.
Event organizers said the course is focused on completion, not competition.
After the triathlon the park will be filled with food trucks and the Blues Baseball team will serve drinks.
