Part of a badly decomposed body washed up on the Isla Vista coastline Tuesday evening, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office says.Deputies from Isla Vista and UCSB were first called around 5:45 p.m. to the beach access area at Camino Pescadero Park. They arrived to investigate a report of possible human remains in the ocean and confirmed the discovery soon after arriving, Lt. Kevin Huddle said in a statement.A Santa Barbara County Fire water rescue unit recovered the remains, which are said to be "in a significant state of decomposition and incomplete.""Due to the level of decomposition, further determination as to age, sex and the identity of the remains will take time. There were no indications of foul play and the remains were taken to the Santa Barbara County Coroner’s Office for further investigation into the identity of the remains and the manner and cause of death," Lt. Huddle reported.
