The Santa Barbara County Fire Department is increasing its staffing and resources during this week’s hot weather.The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning until 10 a.m. Thursday.Santa Barbara County Fire says it will have three additional engines, two dozers, a water tender, two hand crews, a batallion chief and one helicopter with night flying capabilities.The California Office of Emergency Services has also stationed a strike team of five engines in Goleta should any fires break out during the extreme heat.Firefighters are reminding people to always be ready for an emergency. The Santa Barbara County Fire Department says people should have evacuation plans in mind should any neighborhoods fall into danger.
