Preventative surface treatment along Highway 46 East from Airport Road to Geneso Road east of Paso Robles will continue Sunday Night.
Anyone driving that way will experience lane closures in each direction on Highway 46 from 11:45 p.m. until noon on Monday. There will also be construction overnight Monday through Thursday from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. There will not be an overnight closure Friday and Saturday nights. A press release from Cal Trans District 5 said these closures should only set back drivers 15 minutes.
The project will include an application of a bonded wearing course on the highway to make sure drivers have a safe ride and increase traction.
The project costs $4 million and is expected to be finished next month. The contractor is Griffith Company of Bakersfield.
