Morro Bay firefighters responded to a house fire Saturday afternoon.
Witnesses said the fire broke out at approximately 4 p.m. on the 300 block of Jamaica street. Morro Bay firefighters, as well as backup from other local agencies arrived on scene and immediately started working to knock the fire down.
The house sustained significant damage. The cause is still under investigation.

firefighters contained the fire just before 6 p.m. They are expected to stay on scene for several hours investigating.
