Coast and coastal valley locations started off Monday morning with some light drizzle and dense fog. By mid-morning, skies will be mostly clear with just a few mid-to-high level clouds overhead.
Temperatures this week will be much more tolerable for most in comparison to last week’s heatwave.
High pressure is weakening allow temperatures to cool off a bit. We won’t see much variation in temperatures day-to-day throughout the work week.
Inland valleys will certainly still be warm but daytime highs will be in the mid 90’s and low 100’s. Atascadero’s high today is 96, Paso should get up to about 100 and Santa Ynez will heat up to 93.
Coastal valleys will see partly cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 70’s to low 80’s.
Along the coast, daytime highs range from upper 60’s to mid 70’s. The marine layer will be stubborn to clear from the coast.
