Free ‘Movies in the Garden’ thru September in Atascadero

The City of Atascadero is showing free movies at Sunken Gardens Park on Saturdays.

The first movie will be "Coco" the Disney Pixar Academy Award Winner for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song. 

The movie screenings start around 8:15 p.m., with a different movie showing every Saturday until Sept. 8, except on Aug. 18. 

Dates and movies are:

  • Aug. 4 COCO (PG)
  • Aug. 11 Black Panther (PG-13)
  • Aug. 25 Paddington 2 (PG)
  • Sept. 1 Star Wars: Last Jedi (PG-13)
  • Sept. 8 Wonder (PG)

Community members are encouraged to bring a blanket, low-back chair and their family to enjoy the warm summer nights.

Food and beverages will be provided by St. Luke’s Episcopal Church. 

The event is sponsored by Twin Cities Hospital, Perry’s Parcel and Gift, Thrive Gymnastics and Idler’s Home.
