Jimmy Paulding has announced plans to run for a spot on the Arroyo Grande City Council.

This comes after the 32-year-old attorney lost to Lynn Compton by just 60 votes in the race for San Luis Obispo County District 4 Supervisor in this year’s June primary.

Paulding reportedly grew up and currently lives in Arroyo Grande.

His website states he is an experienced city planner and project manager focused on delivering concrete and measurable results for the community.

Current Arroyo City Council members include Tim Brown, Kristen Barneich, Barbara Harmon, Mayor Pro Tem Caren Ray and Mayor Jim Hill.

The nomination period for the November 6 general election ends August 10.
