Swimming is not allowed in San Luis Obispo’s Santa Margarita Lake, but one visitor defied the rules during this most recent heat wave.
A photo shared by San Luis Obispo County Parks shows a bear swimming in the lake this past week.
The parks division identified the animal as a black bear and said they are seen in and around the lake on occasion.
