A Santa Barbara City College freshman is recovering from injuries he suffered in an attack early Sunday morning.
According to the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office, the 19-year-old was at a party when he attempted to strike up a conversation another man, described as a Hispanic male with short black hair.
The 19-year-old man was then attacked by a group of six unidentified Hispanic males, ranging in ages from their late teens to early 20s wearing tank tops.
The assailants left before law enforcement arrived.
The victim had moderate injuries in the attack. He was transported to Goleta Valley Hospital for treatment.
This investigation is on-going and the Santa Barbara Sheriff’s Office is requesting anyone who has information about the incident to call (805) 683-2724.
