The Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management sent out a heat-related red flags warning Sunday for Santa Barbara County.

The first warning is from 6 p.m. Sunday to 9 p.m. Tuesday because of gusty north winds, hot temperatures and very low humidity in the Santa Barbara County mountains.

A red flag warning is also in effect from 6 p.m. Sunday to 10 p.m Tuesday for Santa Barbara’s south coast. That warning is also for high north winds, hot temperatures and low humidity in the area.

The Santa Barbara County Office of Emergency Management said temperatures could get as high as 102 degrees in some Sunday, and go up to 104 degrees on Monday.

Northbound winds in the area can get to 15 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts of 35 to 45 miles per hour.

The red flag warning means critical fire weather conditions are expected.
