Fallas Discount Store in Santa Maria is back open, at least partially, following a fire last week.
The fire broke out the evening of July 31 on the second floor of the store located at 201 Town Center West.
The building suffered significant smoke and water damage on both floors and the store was closed for the following three days.
Employees tell KSBY News that half of the downstairs portion of the store re-opened Saturday. Black tarps block off the other half of the floor and the second floor remains closed.
Police said last week they were looking for a man believed to have started the fire at Fallas and another area business. No word on if any arrests have been made.
