Firefighters responded to a grass fire in southern Paso Robles on Thursday afternoon.
The fire was reported at about 3:50 p.m. in the area of Santa Ysabel Ave. and S. River Rd.
As of 4:05 p.m., CAL FIRE reported that two acres of grass were burning but firefighters were making good progress. Initially, the fire was described as wind-driven and threatening nearby structures, but fire officials said the structure threat was mitigated.
