Local firefighters provide mutual aid at Holy Fire, Carr Fire

More local firefighters are packing up to help fight some of California’s biggest wildfires.

Cal Fire San Luis Obispo posted on twitter Thursday that Strike Team 9341C is stationed in neighborhoods defending structures at the Holy Fire. 

As of Thursday night, the fire had burned more than 10,200 acres and more than a dozen homes.

Santa Barbara City Fire posted an update on their crews working at the Carr Fire Thursday night. There are teams from nearly every central coast fire department at the more than two dozen wildfires burning in California. 

More than 14,000 firefighters are spread out across the state as well as army personnel, inmates, the national guard, reinforcements from other states and from New Zealand and Australia.
