Paso Robles City Council candidate filing period extended

The period for filing nomination papers to run for Paso Robles City Council in the November election has been extended.

Residents interested in running for the two open city council seats now have until Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2018, to file papers.

The initial filing period ended on Aug. 10, but because at least one incumbent did not file papers to run for another term, the filing period is extended by law.

Nomination papers are available at the Paso Robles City Clerk’s Office. You must make an appointment with the deputy city clerk by calling (805) 237-3888 in order to pick up a packet.

Voters in Paso Robles will also choose a mayor this November. However, the extended filing period does not apply to the mayoral seat.
