Authorities say a firefighter was killed while battling the Mendocino Complex Fire in Northern California.

The firefighter’s name has not yet been released. Fire officials said notification of next of kin was in progress. More information is expected to be released at a press conference late Monday evening.

The Mendocino Complex includes the Ranch and River fires and has burned nearly 350,000 acres in Mendocino, Lake and Colusa counties. As of Monday evening, it was 68 percent contained.

Two other firefighters have been injured while fighting this fire.

This is the eleventh wildfire-related fatality in California in the past month.
