11 local businesses make list of fastest-growing companies

Nearly a dozen local businesses made this year’s Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing companies in the country. The magazine looks at overall revenue and three-year revenue growth. According to the magazine, the companies on this year’s list made more than $206 billion in revenue in 2017, a 158% increase from 2014.

11 local companies made the list.

Santa Barbara-based transportation company ShipHawk was ranked highest at #192. According to Inc. 5000, the company made $8.4 million in revenue last year, with a three-year revenue growth of 2,298%. The company was ranked #12 on the list in 2017.

San Luis Obispo-based software company Land Gorilla had the next highest ranking at #957. The company brought in $6 million in revenue, with a three-year revenue growth of 516%. The company tweeted, "Land Gorilla is very excited to announce we earned the position of 957 on the Inc. 5000. This is the third consecutive year Land Gorilla has appeared on this prestigious list! Congratulations to our team!"

Paso Robles-based energy company A.M. Sun Solar ranked #1484 with $8.9 million in revenue and a three-year revenue growth of 317%. The company ranked #728 on the list in 2017.

San Luis Obispo-based telecommunications company Digital West ranked #1813 with $13.5 million in revenue and a three-year revenue growth of 248%.

Santa Barbara-based Ericson Dental ranked #2767 with $4 million in revenue and a three-year revenue growth of 150%.

Santa Barbara-based BigSpeak Speakers Bureau ranked #2909 with $22.4 million in revenue and a three-year revenue growth of 140%. According to the company website, this is the fourth consecutive year BigSpeak made the list. The company says it moved up 259 slots from last year.

San Luis Obispo-based Meathead Movers ranked #3652 with $16.6 million in revenue and a three-year revenue growth of 101%. The company says this is the seventh consecutive year it has been included in Inc. 5000’s list. "As one of the most prestigious honors a growing company can receive, we feel beyond privileged to be recognized in the Inc. 5000 list of fastest-growing companies in America yet again," said Aaron Steed, CEO of Meathead Movers.

Santa Barbara-based software company FastSpring ranked #3659 with in $25.5 million in revenue and a three-year revenue growth of 101%. The company tweeted, "We’re so thrilled to be included on the list!"

Santa Barbara-based financial services company Mission Wealth Management ranked #4450 with $10 million in revenue and a three-year revenue growth of 74%.

Santa Barbara-based financial services company Mercer Advisors ranked #4521 with $73.7 million in revenue and a three-year revenue growth of 72%.

Paso Robles-based software company IQMS ranked #4794 with $59.8 million in revenue and three-year revenue growth of 64%.
