Lompoc City Fire and Santa Barbara County Fire responded to two different encampment fires in Lompoc on Wednesday.
The first fire began at around 7:15 Wednesday night. Lompoc City Fire tweeted they were on scene of a large encampment fire in the river bed. According to fire officials, the fire was contained quickly, and did not spread very far.

The second fire began at around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday. Lompoc Firefighters tweeted that they were on scene of another encampment fire in the riverbed.

The cause of both these fire is currently unknown.
