The Lompoc Recreation Division hosted a fun run Sunday morning at the Beattie Park.
The 5k and 10k races are a way to provide a better quality of life by promoting positive social behavior, interaction with others and keeping kids active.
The event started at 9 a.m. and was opened to anyone over 7-year-old, but participants had to pay $20.
The first and second place winners got awards.
