A community celebration to honor the 13U Five Cities Babe Ruth All-Stars is planned for this Wednesday, Aug. 22 in the Village of Arroyo Grande.
On August 16, the youth baseball team won the Babe Ruth World Series in Arkansas.
The celebration, scheduled to start at 6 p.m., will begin with a police-escorted motorcade through the Village, ending at Centennial Park for hot dogs and lemonade and official proclamations from city leaders.
The public is invited to the celebration.
