Five Cities Fire Authority responded to reports of a dumpster fire behind the old Kmart building on the 1300 hundred block of West Branch Street Wednesday around 7:20 a.m.
Five Cities Fire Chief Steve Lieberman says the fire was between two dumpsters and spread to nearby vegetation. Lieberman says crews arrived on scene and quickly put out the fire. No buildings were damaged and the cause of the fire is unknown.
Lieberman says there are no road closures in the area, but drivers will see personnel still on scene.
