The CHP says one person is dead and two people are injured after a crash on SR-246 Friday night. It happened around 7:30 p.m. just east of Williams Ranch.

The driver of the vehicle, a 51-year-old woman from Port Heuneme, was reportedly driving about 60 mph on the eastbound lanes of SR-246 when her Honda Civic drifted into the center median of the highway, causing the car to overtime several times.

CHP officials say Dan Davis, a passenger in the car, sustained fatal injuries. Davis’ age and place of residence were not released.

The driver and another 51-year-old male passenger sustained minor injuries and were transported to local hospitals for treatment, the CHP says.
