Major delays were expected for Amtrak Friday after a collision involving a train and semi truck occurred on the tracks near Guadalupe.
According to the Pacific Surfliner’s Twitter account, train 774 was stopped south of Guadalupe as of 8 a.m. after hitting a vehicle south of Guadalupe.
A photo submitted by KSBY viewer Kaylee Ellis shows the cab of a semi-truck over the tracks with the back end of the train against it and the tanker of the truck parallel to the tracks.
Major delays are expected in the area.
No other information was immediately available.
