Volunteers across the Central Coast are picking up trash and cleaning up Santa Maria.
These efforts are part of the "Serve Santa Maria" event all day Saturday.
The event was organized by Bethel Lutheran Church’s Pastor Carl Nielsen.
On Saturday volunteers will clean up trash at the Tom Urbanske Multipurpose Trail, paint over graffiti, clean up the Santa Maria riverbed and paint a Pan De Vida at a Mexican church.
