A firefighter from San Luis Obispo will compete once again Monday night on NBC’s "American Ninja Warrior."

Thomas Kofron has advanced both times he’s appeared on the hit show.

Monday, he returns to face more obstacles during round 1 of the National Finals in Las Vegas.

Kofron works for CAL FIRE. Last year, he was stationed in Cambria.

During the Los Angeles City Qualifiers, he explained how he used his firefighter training and orange juice to save his parents’ and their neighbors’ homes in Ventura during the Thomas Fire.

"American Ninja Warrior" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on KSBY.
