The Lompoc Police Department is investigating two shootings that took place at the same location within two weeks.

Police say a shooting took place Sunday night around 7:45 p.m. in the 700 block of North D/E Alley.

Police say a 26-year-old man sustained a non-life threatening gun shot wound to his leg and was transported to the Lompoc Valley Medical Center.

The man was shot by an unknown suspect from a dark colored vehicle while in a carport in the alley, according to police. No further description of the suspect was released.

At this time, police say it is unknown whether or not this incident is gang related.

This is the second shooting being investigated by the Lompoc Police Department in this alley over the past two weeks.

On Monday, August 13 two men were shot and injured during a shooting in the same alley.

Both investigations are still on-going at this time.

Anyone with information related to this investigation or the previous shooting incident is asked to contact the Lompoc Police Department.
