A Cal Poly alumnus will get his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame Monday.
Weird Al Yankovic, known for his parody songs and comedic music videos, revealed the big announcement on Twitter earlier in August.
The time has finally come… On Aug. 27 at 11:30 AM I’ll be getting my very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame (6914 Hollywood Blvd., right across the street from the Chinese Theatre). The ceremony is FREE and open to the public, so come on down!!

He tweeted Sunday that his star will be unveiled Monday morning and he will speak with National Radio Hall of Fame member Dr. Demento and comedian Thomas Lennon.

Yankovic was inducted into the Cal Poly journalism department’s Mustang Media Hall of Fame in 2016.
