San Luis Obispo Mayor Heidi Harmon will join leaders from around the world for the Global Climate Action Summit later this year.
Mayor Harmon posted on Facebook Tuesday to announce that Governor Jerry Brown invited her to the summit. She will share information about San Luis Obispo’s efforts to fight climate change. She will also hear what other cities around the world are doing to reduce environmental impacts.
Harmon says she is excited and honored to be invited.
The Global Climate Action Summit starts on September 12 in San Francisco.
