The Front Fire east of Santa Maria is now fully contained, according to Forest Service officials.
The fire broke out on the afternoon of Sunday, Aug. 19, off Highway 166 in the Rockfront Ranch area of the Los Padres National Forest.
It burned approximately 1,014 acres. No structures were burned and no civilians were injured, but officials reported three firefighter injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation and a forest closure is still in effect.
