An accident involving seven vehicles shut down part of Highway 101 Southbound, near Los Alamos Saturday morning.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department said around 6 a.m. a vehicle was swerving in and out of traffic at high speed, causing multiple cars to collide. One of those was towing a trailer.

Four people were transported to Marian hospital with minor damage and many of the vehicles suffered major damage. The highway was reduced to one lane of traffic going south for several hours while crews cleaned up the wreckage.
The collision is being investigated by California Highway Patrol.
