CAL FIRE station to be torn down for construction of new station in Paso Robles

Posted

CAL FIRE will be holding a Flag Lowering Ceremony for Paso Robles Fire Station 30 on Monday morning ahead of the station’s decommissioning.

Station 30 has served CAL FIRE/San Luis Obispo County Fire Department for about 60 years, but its condition has worsened because of its age.

The California Department of General Services allocated $6.5 million to build a new facility. Construction of the new fire station is expected to start on September 30 with a completion date of October 2019.

A temporary fire station is set up at the North County Regional Center in Templeton.

The community is invited to attend the Flag Lowering Ceremony, which will be held at 11:30 a.m. at 2510 Ramada Dr. in Paso Robles.
