Chick-fil- A is offering free chicken nuggets to say "thank you" for downloading their free smartphone app.
Through Sept. 29, Chick-fil-A is offering free orders of nuggets to everyone who creates a Chick-fil-A account or signs into their updated smartphone app.
The deal automatically shows up in the "my rewards" section and customers can only redeem the offer once.
The giveaway is for regular and grilled eight-count nuggets and can be redeemed at more than 2,300 locations nationwide.
The redesigned app also allows customers to earn points with every purchase for a chance at free food.
On the Central Coast, there is a Chick-fil-A in San Luis Obispo, Santa Maria, Santa Barbara, Oxnard and Ventura.
