A San Luis Obispo restaurant is closing its doors.
Foremost Wine Company announced on its social media pages Monday that it was closing. The restaurant’s menu featured farm-to-table bites, a Ramen Burger, and an extensive wine list. The restaurant was located in the recently renovated Creamery Marketplace on Higuera Street in downtown San Luis Obispo.
In a post on Facebook, the company said, "We are sad to say that Foremost Wine Company is closing its doors. We are very grateful for the years we spent seeing this place grow and for the community of people who believed in Foremost. Thank you for supporting our passion project for organic, farm to table, innovative food. With all the mixed emotions that have arisen with saying our goodbyes, we are optimistic about our team’s future endeavors along with our own. Thank you for the journey."
The company’s website was not working on Wednesday, but according to the restaurant’s Facebook page, its mission was "to take the elitism out of wine and to create a place where both wine connoisseurs and rookies alike can relax and enjoy a glass of good wine."
KSBY reached out to the restaurant for comment on the closure, but has not received a reply so far.
