SLO Brew is known for its beer and live music.
The restaurant and brewery has gone through many changes over the years, especially with new ownership seven years ago.
"We moved locations downtown on Higuera Street, created The Lofts upstairs, which is sort of a five-room, 1-2-3 bedroom units, and most importantly we built what is known as The Rock, which is our brewery," said owner Hamish Marshall.
For the establishment’s 30th anniversary, SLO Brew is adding another concert venue.
The SLO Brew Rock location, located on Aerovista Place in San Luis Obispo, is opening an event center that holds 600 people for concerts or 200 people for sit-down functions.
The first concert at The Rock’s new venue takes place on Thursday, Sept. 6. Reggae star Collie Buddz is the headliner.
On Saturday, starting at noon, The Rock will host a 30th Anniversary Festival with live music throughout the day. Tickets range in price from $30 to $100. Click here for more information.
