Some residents in the Nipomo area were evacuated from their homes Saturday morning due to a tanker truck crash.
It happened at around 6:40 a.m. in the area of Highway 1 and Willow Road.
According to CAL FIRE SLO, the tanker hauling fuel crashed and landed on its side off the road prompting the evacuation of residents in the immediate area. No injuries have been reported.
Hazmat crews were being called to the scene and Willow Road was shut down between Highway 1 and Guadalupe Road, according to CAL FIRE.
It was not known when the crash would be cleared and the road re-opened.
