Officials with Cal Fire San Luis Obispo and San Luis Harbor Patrol are working to locate a kayaker who may have fallen from his kayak this morning offshore near the area of Dinosaur Caves in Pismo Beach.
Cal Fire San Luis Obispo Public Information Officer Chris Elms says the call came in around 7:00 a.m. from a kayaker who says he fell out of his kayak and was having trouble getting out of the water.
Elms says the kayaker was in contact with officials through his cell phone to pinpoint his location, but officials have yet to locate him.
