Candidates for San Luis Obispo mayor and city council will take part in a forum Tuesday night.

It will be moderated by the League of Women Voters, which says the forum is designed as a way for the public to learn more about the candidates and their views on various issues within the community.

Mayoral candidates on the November ballot include incumbent Heidi Harmon and challengers Donald Hedrick and Keith Gurnee.

City Council candidates include current councilmember Carlyn Christianson along with Sarah Flickinger, Abe Lincoln, James Lopes, Jeffery Specht, Erica Stewart and Robert "Bob"" Voglin.

The forum is set to take place Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in council chambers at City Hall, 990 Palm St.

Those who attend can submit written questions for the candidates.

The general election is set for Nov. 6.
