Posted

An arrest has been made in connection with a stabbing in Lompoc last month.

Lompoc police responded to the 400 block of North ‘M’ Street the evening of Aug. 30 and found a victim who had suffered a "potential life-threatening stab wound" and had also been robbed.

Detectives and the Lompoc Police Department street crime unit investigated and say they determined the incident was gang related and identified Ruben Pacheco, Jr. and a juvenile as the suspects.

Pacheco, Jr. was reportedly arrested in Santa Barbara on Thursday by police there and booked into the Santa Barbara County Jail on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, robbery and participation in a criminal street gang.

The juvenile, whose name has not been released, is still on the run.

Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the Lompoc Police Department at (805)736-2341.
